Sundays

I love Sunday mornings for the most part of these two reasons.  1. I get to spend time with a church family, to praise and worship, and listen to the weeks message. 2. I get to spend it with my brother-in-law, sister, and nephew.  Periodically following the service, we will all head our way to Costco to fill up with gas, get our produce and samples, and then eat our hot dog.  I, myself, have been skipping out on the hot dog and attempting a healthier alternative.  Speaking of healthy and things, I am now down to 14 pounds of weight loss.  Yipppeeee!!!!  Today was a little different from our typical Sunday.  Today following church all four of us (Nick, Nicole, Fin, and myself) all helped to take down.  Since our church is currently out of a middle school in Nampa, we have to set up and take down each week.  I never realized all the work it takes for our church service to go on each Sunday.  I love Pastor Dana's message.  The question that has been reflecting and repeating in my head is "who is the messiah in your life?"  I admit, I love to have control and know what is going to happen next.  But I need to let my Savior, Jesus Christ, be my full/complete Messiah.

At work, we typically adopt one of our families that could use some additional support.  This year, the family that we adopted has touched my heart.  There are three kids, who unfortunately lost their mom and dad in a car accident.  The children are currently living with a family member.  I was in charge of shopping for two of the three kids for shirts.  I had so much fun picking out shirts, I had to walk all over in the kids departments making sure that I didn't miss anything.  What if this Christmas season we spend less, and give more?
