I finally arrived to my much anticipated Christmas vacation in North Dakota. I arrived with no problems on Tuesday night to Fargo (which we were 40 minutes late getting in). By the time I got my luggage, had a bite to eat at Burger King, and hit the 1 and a half hour drive I arrived in Jamestown at 11:30 at night. On Wednesday, the news on the television stated that North Dakota and Minnesota would receive a record snow fall and blizzard over Christmas. So the snow began gently falling in the early afternoon. By 4, the interstate was becoming dangerous for driving. Thankfully and thanks to God's protection, my Aunt Judy was able to make it from her lake to Jamestown. She stated that she drove 10 mph the whole way with dozens of car accidents along the way. While dad, mom and myself waited for her safe arrival we enjoyed ourselves at Babbs coffee. While there, we watched a car accident take fold and the snow gently falling. Today, I woke up with more snow and decided to bundle up and head outside for some fun. I made a beautiful snow angel and sat on the outside rocker with the sun and snow glistening. Tonight and tomorrow, the winds are suppose to pick up to around 45 mph. With the white fluffy snow and winds, it will be blizzard conditions. On Christmas day, we were suppose to travel to Oakes, ND to see my grandparts and aunts/uncles. Unfortunately, I think those plans have been cancelled (unless the weather decides to take a total different turn for the better). I haven't seen my grandparents on my father side since Feb. when I traveled to ND for my grandma stroh's 90th birthday. I was looking forward to seeing aunts and uncles that I haven't seen in over 2 years. With plans changed, I am still looking forward and so thankful for this Christmas season.
May you all have a blessed Christmas with your family and friends. Merry Christmas
Glad you made it their safe and sound. Bundle up and stay warm when those winds hit!
