I'm so blessed to having a loving family. Today is my sister's birthday, Happy Birthday!!! I'm so fortunate to have a loving, caring, and supportive sister. I remember growing up and the "fights" that we would have. Unfortunately, my sister typically got most of the blame. We both would get sent to our rooms, both of us slamming the door. About few minutes later, our parents would come in and we would be set free. Going to our rooms truly was not a real discipline. Both Nicole and I had small televisions in our room as well as a tape/radio player (they didn't have CD's at the time). I remember we grew closer together when Nicole moved out of the house and into her own apartment during her college years. Luckily, Nicole decided to go to college in our home town. I however, the one they thought would stay, moved to Bismarck,ND to continue my education. I think about to where I am now, Nampa. I remember when Nicole and my parents told me that my sister was moving out of state to ID. My heart sank, our family moving apart. Our family growing up, was always close. Our Holidays were always a full house with family and extended family together. I was so blessed when my parents decided to spend our first Christmas separated driving to Nampa,ID. My parents are a little unique when they live to drive a 1,000 some miles during the winter. But I was so blessed to be together for the Christmas holiday. I, too this day, so long for our family to be together again. I believe that, with time, that will happen. In the meantime, I enjoy having my sister and watching her family grow. I love the fact that I'm able to see my nephew grow and be so much apart of his life.
To you my sister, I wish you a blessed happy birthday and a another blessed year. Love ya sis!
I should mention that this picture was taken last Febuary of 2009 in ND. The snow was so high that we could practically climb up the snow banks and onto the roof.
