The Tundra

On monday, the snow started to fall and the bitter chill of winter arrived at my doorstep.  I can't believe how cold it has been the last few days.  I've been in denial of bringing my winter coat out.  People at work tease me because all I wear for a coat is a light weight fleece jacket.  I have to say that fleece coats are my favorite and are a little warmer than what people think.  Wednesday night, I broke down and headed to Target to get some cuddles or silky type long johns to wear for when doing outside projects (aka: shoveling).  Which I have to say that I wore them tonight to finally shovel my drive way and sidewalk after Monday's snow fall.

Every morning, I can expect an e-mail from my dad with what has been going on during his days and the forecast of ND.  This week, my body quivered from head to toe when I read the temps.  All I could think of is "why the heck am i going there for Christmas."  Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to be going home for Christmas.  By the way, I have 12 days until my arrival to the "Tundra."  I think my denial of bringing out my winter coat will soon be going away once I head off for my trip to the "tundra."  Part of me thinks that I might need a warmer winter coat.

By the way, my typical winter coat is a slim line down feather coat.  I say slim line because I don't look like a giant marshmellow!  Pretty sure I will not be bringing my fleece coat to ND, might be a little (or a lot) to cold!!!!
