FIrst Cake- Rainbow

Tonight I had my 2nd class of course one.  In today's class we were required to bring a 8 inch frost cake.  At class, we were to learn how to do stars, basic writing, our base for the wilton rose, and copy a pattern.  The pattern that we used was a rainbow.  To copy the rainbow, you used piping gel to outline a design on a piece of wax paper.  You then flipped the wax paper and pressed the gel onto your cake for your outline. With this, then filled your design with stars.  Here is the product of my rainbow cake.  I gave the cake to Nick for his 5th grade class.  I hope they enjoyed it.

  1. Impressive! I bet Nick's students enjoyed it. Maybe you can get them to chip in for the next class if they keep getting sweet treats out of the deal. ;)
