My Love: Baking

Whenever I am invited to dinner or have a potluck, I always love to bring baked goods.  I hate cooking, but love to bake.  Starting this Thursday, I am starting a 4 course Wilton Cake Decorating Class.  Each course is approximately 4 weeks.  I'm so excited to start this journey and add to my passion of baking.  I came across this class by searching for my passion and finding a way to give back.  I remember one Christmas where my Aunt Sharon was visiting from Billings, MT.  She brought with her her cake decorating supplies as we put together an elaborate gingerbread house.  My aunt workers as a baker at the local Billings hospital and also does professional cakes.  Like all sisters, I at times find myself following in my sisters foot steps and comparing myself to her.  I took up scrapbooking following her... which I have to say was a benefit as I got all her supplies as she no longer has the time.  But I needed another hobby or activity to do in my spare time.  My sister is currently into quilting and sewing, definitely not my passion.  So, I came across cake decorating... something no one else does and no need to compare.  I'm already to go and so excited to extend my passion.
